Special items to bring: stapler, some leaves if you want, Jack will bring a bunch too. A softer support such as a Gator Board, we will need to staple the leaves down to the board. If you use student grade watercolors, I would recommend one of these brands. Buy the tubes of paints. Van Gogh, Grumbacher Academy, Winsor & Newton Cotman Water Colours. (Cotman is one of the highest grade student watercolors on the market.) For further information, check the supply list below.
Fee: Adults – $35

Jack Loeb will have a Loosening up with acrylics class on Feb. 17. Class fee will be $40. The theme of his classes will be Tree and Landscape. For ease of the painting drills, it would be best if the students had a surface already gessoed and primed with a bright yellow, ie: Yellow Cadmium Medium or an orange.
Class will be held at Cookeville Art Studio and Gallery at 9:30 a.m.

Jack shares one of his happy heart paintings with our cat, Charlie. Jack will be a featured artist in the sales gallery at The Appalachian Center For Crafts during the month of February. Check out Jack Loeb’s studio on the “Off The Beaten Path” Studio Tour this October 27-29th
“Every fall, on the last full weekend in October, when the color is breathtaking and there is a certain crispness in the air, the artists of Off the Beaten Path Studio Tour in beautiful DeKalb and Cannon Counties of Middle Tennessee open their studios for a free three day open studio event. Celebrating its 18th year, the tour has grown to include 15 stops with 30 participating artists. Artists will be demonstrating their craft mediums and offering handcrafted shopping opportunities at every stop on the tour.”
